Does my laptop need CCS to work properly? 3
I just looked at my applets and found one called SCCC. My computer is taking a while so I try to shut it down as much as possible. Can I disable SCCC?
A quick search reveals that this is not a mandatory program. It belongs to the ATI CATALYST® CONTROL CENTER, which I consider to be a circuit board for changing settings. It is not necessary for your video card to work properly, and you generally do not need to make any changes to your video settings.

In fact, it is ATI's CATALYST® control center. Requires if you want to change the graphical settings regularly, but requires access to the Internet and the .NET framework installed by Microsoft. Notice that runtime is added to cli.exe in the MSCONFIG command field. Alternatively, you can configure the program manually via S> Programs> ATI Catalyst Control Center> Advanced> Res Runtime.
So if you are a gamer, I suggest leaving it open ... otherwise you can.
