Can a PATH SmartLink Card be used on New York subways? 3

I was a little worried because I wanted to know if I could use a Smartlink card when I wanted to go on the subway. Or is the card for Camino only?

Due to the different pricing structure, SmartLink cards are activated for PATH use only.

For this reason, unlimited Metro Cards are not available on PATH Hub.

New York Subway, Staten Island Train, Buses, Long Island Buses and WCDOT BeeLine Buses, RIOC Skytram does not yet have a Smartlink card system.

You will need to purchase a separate Unlimited Metro Card.

PATH only accepts: SMARTLINK cards, PayPerRide MetroCards, while Airtrain JFK only accepts PayPerRide MetroCards.

New York City Subway, BeeLine MTA and WCDOT BeeLine regional buses, and RIOC Skytram only accept unlimited Metro Cards, PayPerRide and Student Metro Cards.

The SmartLink card is only valid for PATH, but the Metro Card is valid for New York subways (including JFK air train), New York buses and PATH.
