Do I have 2002 Dodge Ram code obd2 p1491? 3
I have the code obd2 p1491 for the 2002 Dodge Ram 1500.
Check the # 39 on the secondary block for the condenser fan. You will get n. This is due to a fault in the condenser fan cover, which allows water to enter the condenser fan motor, resulting in excessive use of electricity. Maybe you can change it and stick with it for a while, but it will be one.
Chrysler solved this problem with TSB # 0800223, which required the fan, motor, and housing to be replaced as an assembly to solve this problem. I will provide more details below.

Thing:
The condenser fan does not work because it is open.
advance payment:
This bulletin includes the installation of new condenser wings, cover and reprogramming of the Power Train Control Module (PCM).
Model:
2002 DR (Ram Tr)
Symptoms / conditions:
The condenser fan (# 39) on the electrical distributor can open and close the condenser fan. This can be caused by a condenser fan consuming too much power or water accumulating in the opening of the fan cover and freezing in cold weather, which can prevent the fan from turning. This allows the error indicator light (MIL) to be turned on.

If the vehicle is in poor condition, perform the repair procedure.

P1491 radiator fan relay control circuit. If you only have one fan, turn on the air conditioner and see if the fan is on. Otherwise, the A / C relay or switch may be damaged. If you do not turn on the fan while rotating, your temperature sensor may be damaged. A bad fan motor is less likely, but if it breaks down, just replace the fan motor.
To solve this problem you need to check two important things and one is the biggest problem due to the relay and the other is the cooling sensor passing through the relay and when the sensor goes out the fan stops working. Will, first check that it may seem easier than you think and enjoy the holiday.

Maybe the temperature sensor or radiator fan relay is bad.
