Link Hoarding
A practice used by some people to encourage collecting as many inbound links as possible with as few outbound links as possible. The benefit would be to keep the website link popular and prevent traffic from leaving the website. This is unreliable and frowned upon for behavior in the SEO world.
When a website only creates inbound links and ignores outbound links. Google and its algorithm read websites from a neutral point of view, meaning they understand the higher value of connecting links. While some people think that building inbound links will help protect the value of your links, as outbound links can reduce this value, this is not the case.
If your content is linked in the same way as other content and websites, Google will consider it a much more relevant source. The accumulation of links allows Google to mark your site as spam and punish you accordingly. Understanding that link building is a two-way street and making sure your site isn't built on inbound links alone is important to maintain a good position on Google.
An attempt to prevent link juice from being shared with other websites, e.g. B. add nofollow tag or no link.
In general, this is a bad idea as this method is easily discovered by Google. On the other hand, some studies conclude that outbound links play a role in rankings.
If you don't link to other websites, you also reduce your chances of creating links.
A tactic used by some websites to collect as many inbound links as possible and have as few outbound links as possible. This is done to increase traffic and increase the popularity of links to the few sites to which the outbound links point, or to prevent traffic and link juice from being passed on to someone else (by marking outbound links as nofollow).
This is considered a dubious tactic and can be just as damaging as too many outgoing links.
