How To Put Multiple Stamps On An Envelope
How do I get multiple stamps in one envelope? 3
Should I put it in a straight line or in a square? I'll send a letter to England, put it on the other side, okay?
As long as the stamp is in the upper right corner of the envelope, couriers handling your correspondence (national and international) will be happy. Stamps should not cover the front of each post and should be folded back so that the post office can see that the stamps have not been used. In the 1970's, I sent envelopes with lots of 5c stamps, even lots of 1c stamps. Sometimes there is almost no space for names and addresses!
If you have used a postmaster that prints directly to the envelope, you can turn the envelope so that the stamps go everywhere if you do not print all the values you need on the AP through the Post Office ۔ In the 1980's, I used a size that only came to 99c. Therefore, a different postage fee is charged for sending large envelopes abroad.
Sometimes I buy old and unused stamps from dealers. This year the minimum postage in New Zealand has been increased from 50 cents to 60 cents. I remember when the basic postage was 10 cents (a few years later it was 4 cents!). If I get a 10 cents stamp I'll take it!
In 1991, I visited Zimbabwe. Harare's main post office always has long queues of people to buy mail. But upstairs there is an office that sells stamp sets to collectors. I felt like I could climb to the top faster and be seen. When I send postcards, letters and packages to New Zealand, I can use every stamp I receive. 8}
